Posted on May 4, 2011Kill the unarmed; Die unarmed. Seems to me to that what is fair is fair.
Osama Bin Laden specialized in killing innocent civilians. He targeted Americans in our embassies and in the Twin Towers because he wanted to make a statement that nobody was safe from his terror.
He also specialized in using dim-witted innocents to carry out much of his murderous rampage. He would prey on the mentally challenged, fill them with religious ferver, have them strap bombs on their torsos and then send them on their merry way to reap disaster.
If there were anybody ever born who deserved vigilante justice as carried out by our Navy Seals, it is Osama Bin Laden.
It is too bad that the White House initially got the story wrong about how Bin Laden tried to fight back. It was too bad because it left us all the impression that Osama was brave enough to fight a real fight. Of course, he was a coward. He mostly left the killing to others, and he mostly made certain that his killers would kill themselves in the act of killing others.
This guy was no dark and brutal killer himself. He was a spoiled rich kid who didn’t get his way when he grew up and decided that he was going to spend his vast fortune trying to achieve some sort of demented vision about an Islamic caliphate.
There has been another controversy about whether the White House should release the photo of Osama with a bullet hole under his eye. It seems that they believe the photo is too gruesome for viewing.
Well, when the anti-cancer people release photos of the effects of throat cancer on smokers, those pictures are pretty gruesome, but they do teach a lesson.
A lesson can be learned by those who seek to follow Mr. Bin Laden by letting them see what happens to those who seek to kill the unarmed. They will die, unarmed.
I think that is a pretty good lesson for them to learn.
