McCain's campaign didn't cost him the election, the economy and people's disappointment at the Bush presidency and the Congressional Republicans. Such historical revisionism should be beneath you.

The Republicans sacrificed their traditional role as conservatives on spending throughout the last 8 years of their control of Congress. I was working for one of the few true conservatives on the Hill who was trying to stop you guys from spending so much, but you just wouldn't stop, so the American people finally took the House away from you. I'd be in meetings where the conservative House Members were up in arms over being sold out by their own Leadership -- Hastert, DeLay, and those who worked for them.

Ridiculous. McCain's campaign didn't cost him the election, the economy and people's disappointment at the Bush presidency and the utter mismanagement of the Congressional Republicans did. Such historical revisionism should be beneath you.

Oh, that's ridiculous -- McCain's campaign didn't cost him the election, the economy and people's disappointment at the Bush presidency and the utter mismanagement of the Congressional Republicans did. Such historical revisionism should be beneath you.

John, you neglect your own role in the 2006 and 2008 debacles. The Republicans sacrificed their traditional role as conservatives on spending throughout the last 8 years of their control of Congress. You simply have to admit that. I was working for one of the few true conservatives on the Hill who was trying to stop you guys from spending so much, but you just wouldn't stop, so the American people finally took the House away from you. I'd be in meetings where the conservative House Members were up in arms over being sold out by their own Leadership -- Hastert, DeLay, and those who worked for them, including you.

Mr. Feehery is so right. The extremists in the Islamic faith are gaining ground in the US just like they have in Europe, especially France, England and Holland. We seem to be giving into the Islamic push by doing things like taking pork out of school lunch programs. The Jewish didn't ask that we do this, they just didn't eat pork. Or we make special arrangements in stores so Muslims do not have to check out bacon or alcohol. Let them seek work elsewhere. And some of our universities have taken large segments out of student unions for Islamic prayer rooms. Catholics, Jews, Buddhists and other faiths never got similar dispensation. They come to America and it is their responsibility to adjust to our society, not the other way around! Stop this nonsense! And as to the Mosque in New York, yes they may have a legal right to build a mosque at the 9/11 site, but it is in very poor taste on their part and an affront to the people who lost loved ones at 9/11. It will also be in defiance of 70% of the legal citizens of the United States.

I am effectively a liberal, and I still got to say that thats funny, Jim, because I was up at my family's country house and my mother had me tivo every hour of fox that day. It was just easier to have it on while I worked. I never heard about Shirley Sherrod until I had met my deadline - about 6:30 pm or after.
Its still on our tivo. And since I was there, your comment tells me you werent. Because I think you don't watch fox news. At all. And I think that you just lied there. Latter of which I can prove, and I am no friend to Fox.
It bothers me SO MUCH that the left are willing to make up accusations (journolist, anyone?? Am a journalist, and it is SO embarrassing), and ones that can be easily refuted at that. All this is sadly a big part of the left's problems right now and is definitely holding them (want to say us, but I don't know anymore) back.
Go ahead, call me a racist/bigot/liar/random insulting name. Again, the fact that this seems to be the only way the left is responding to this situation is part of why I am not sure I am one of them anymore.
